Groomsman: Ryan Chan

I mostly said everything I needed to say during the Best Man speech at his wedding. Ryan is by and large, emphasis on large (boom, roasted), one of my most trusted and respected friends. There aren’t a lot of people I would characterize with obsessive and semi-oppressive responsibility, but he certainly is one of them. He is one of the most responsible and soundminded people I know, and remains someone who’s been profoundly influential in shaping me into who I am today.

Much like with Bach, we’ve done a lot of stupid and awesome stuff together, but what I most cherish and characterize our friendship through is how we sharpen each other as men of God. Never one to mince words, I know and trust Ryan’s opinions and rebukes as a friend and as a brother. Always someone I can depend on to play basketball with, but also to share my struggles and praises with...and also to share a joke or two or three or four about his stomach with... Ryan is one of my dearest friends and is someone I’m glad to have standing beside me as my groomsman.
