Groomsman: Bach Nguyen

Bach bach bach. or as many know him to be, my partner in crime down in San Diego. From the humble beginnings we had where he sat on Daniel Chung’s bed and openly insulted my guitar (we didn’t know each other back then), to the blossoming of our brotherhood through one of the most touching experiences I’ve ever had where he saw me sleeping and shivering in the cold, barely clinging on to life itself, and gave his own blanket unto me. I would not have known of his sacrifice had I not woken up early and seen him shivering and sleeping without his blanket.

Much like the story shows, if there’s one thing that characterizes Bach, it’s his ninja-like compassion. Never one to voice out his feelings, I have gotten to know him so much more than words could say through the countless adventures we’ve been on, the incredible amount of stupid (and by stupid, I mean awesome and dignified) things we’ve done together, and the supremely subtle, but effective and genuine way he goes about loving others and me. He is probably one of the most perceptive people I know, and I praise God that he uses his powers mostly for good in loving others. I’ve been incredibly blessed to be his friend these last 8 years or so, and cannot imagine what a better groomsman to have by my side on my last adventure as a single man.
