Groomsman: Aaron Lee

I’ve known Aaron since college. When we first got to know each other, he’d often come over while I was practicing piano. Instead of going downstairs to hang out with my brother, he’d kinda just sit there and listen to me practice. At first I thought it was because he was hella gay, but after awhile, I realized that Aaron is just a man of sincere and earnest passion who gets to know people by being genuinely interested in their lives and their passions. For my birthday during my sophomore year in college, knowing I had an interest in mandarin, he gave me a calendar with a new Chinese idiom to learn each month and would call me each month to teach me the particular idiom. Again, I thought it was because he was hella gay, but no, it was because that is the kind of considerate and caring friend that Aaron is. Despite his profound ability to whine and complain about everything and anything, he is dependable and absolutely awesome at keeping in touch, calling just to say what’s up, then peacing out, which despite how it sounds like, is something that I (still) appreciate greatly.

In the time I’ve gotten to know Aaron, he’s seen both Ivan and I at our best and at our worst., and has been there for us to rejoice, to laugh at, and to laugh with, all throughout. He has been often times dubbed as our family’s third son, and someone who I cherish as a friend for life.
